Speaking Opportunities
The UK’s largest conference for system engineering & embedded software development
The ess conference is the UK’s largest forum for the embedded system design community to share technical knowledge and expertise. Technical sessions cover all of the key topics in system engineering and embedded software development with presentations by leading academics, consultants and professional tutors.
Conference speaking
opportunities offer your company the chance to communicate a technical
message to a highly-qualified audience. Presenting companies benefit
from increased visibility in the pre-show publicity campaign, plus
extra traffic on their stand during the show. Conference speaking
maximises your company’s opportunities to introduce your
technical expertise to your target audience in the UK.
Vendor Workshops
Companies who wish to communicate their ideas at ess may give technical presentations in one hour tutorial slots or in half-day training workshops. Your presentation slot may be a stand-alone demonstration of a development tool or technique, or may be planned as part of a structured programme. For example, an application-specific workshop giving delegates hands-on experience of an evaluation board or development tool suite might follow an introductory tutorial on a target microprocessor. Collaborative classes combining several vendors are also welcome.
Vendor Workshops– One-hour slots in the open presentation theatre within the exhibition.
Training Workshops – 3-hour slots in a stand-alone classroom with the option to install networked computers for hands-on demos.

Conference on Embedded Systems Development
We are looking for conference classes or tutorials of demonstrable educational value to engineers and developers. Each class will be at least one-hour in length. Presenters will be mostly sourced by direct invitation, but if you have an interesting proposal then we would love to hear from you.
The Highlight Topics in 2008 will seek out and identify the hot technology trends that are providing both hardware and software engineers with the greatest challenges:
Digital Convergence
* Embedded Multicore and Configurable Processor Programming
* Design for Low Power Consumption
* Platforms for Hardware and Software Interoperability
* Wireless System Development
Dependable Systems
* Developing for System and Software Security
* Testing Hardware for Reliability
* Software Development for Critical Systems
Please send your class proposal to

Speaking opportunities are exceptionally limited and papers will
only be accepted based on technical merit and demonstrable educational
value to paying delegate attendees.
Co-Located Meetings
Trade Associations, Industry Consortia and Standards Bodies
should consider ess as the perfect platform for a UK-located meeting.
The NEC offers excellent quality meeting spaces and catering facilities.
Our aim is to offer meeting room spaces for free, subject to
availability, to valid associations who are willing to engage in a
co-marketing agreement for mutual benefit.
